The opportunity

The global corporate credit markets are among the largest capital markets in the world and growing at a rapid pace: the market was valued at $17.6 trillion in 2021, and is projected to reach $47.2 trillion by 2031. Corporate debt transactions are complex. Critical, artfully nuanced legal terms are woven into lengthy documents. These documents must be digested and analyzed by many different parties over the course of a single transaction. This fundamental need plus a booming market drives enormous demand for precise extraction and benchmarking of legal terms.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

You’ll be a crucial member of our Data Product team, working with a talented group of engineers and domain experts to innovate and optimize our platform. Your work will directly impact the success of our clients and the growth of Noetica. You will:

Work cross-functionally with NLP scientists, domain experts, and engineers to discover and surface valuable data insights.
Explore, evaluate, and incorporate external data sources to enrich our offerings.
Proactively benchmark and improve the quality, performance, and coverage of the Data Product.

You need these qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

You bring 3+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer.

You are proficient with Python and SQL.

It would be nice if

You have exposure to NLP fundamentals and experience in single-tenant architectures.

You enjoy delving into the nuances of domain-specific topics and enhancing products with this knowledge.

You have strong experience measuring quality throughout the data lifecycle.

You are interested in language and economics.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary and significant early stage equity package in addition to numerous employee benefits. The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $141,000—$186,000 USD.
